Karla Trincanello founded the award-winning, full service design firm, Interior Decisions, Inc in 1982 with a philosophy that good design, intuitiveness, integrity, creativity, and exceptional vision would be the basis of her design firm. Success followed as her firm’s designs were noted in various publications; word then spread as her reputation and detailed designs became known.

The complete vision from conceptual design to the very last accessory is a standard for Interior Decisions. There is a full and highly trained staff, well versed in the art of design, as well as technologically skilled in AutoCad.  Karla works seamlessly often collaborating with with architects, project managers and contractors to achieve beautiful and functional spaces for her clients. Whether a private home or an executive office, an elegant restaurant or a stately country club, Interior Decisions handles all spaces and guarantees to bring a level of class and style that everyone will appreciate.

Karla has designed residential and commercial interiors throughout the country. Notable residential projects include: Trump Parc Apartments on Central Park South, and the Trump Tower on Fifth Avenue in New York City. Distance is never an issue, Karla has designed homes in Scottsdale, Arizona, Texas, Florida, Long Island, Connecticut, and New Jersey. Commercial projects have included Il Capriccio Ristorante in Whippany, NJ, Essex Fells Country Club NJ and Mrs K’s, a notable Asian restaurant in Manhattan.

• Karla received a BFA in Interior Design and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Kean University.

• As an Allied Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), Karla regularly participates in education programs and the ASID Industry Trade Show to witness any up and coming, cutting edge trends in the market in order to bring the latest designs and materials to her clientele.  She also serves on many committees for the NJ Chapter of ASID.

• The NJ Chapter of ASID honored Karla Trincanello with the “Outstanding Allied Member” award in 1998.  

• Her designs of a technologically smart home theater were honored with the ASID Bronze Award for Excellence in 2002.

• The designs of Interior Decisions have been published  in Garden State Home and Garden Magazine (Now NJ Monthly), New Jersey Good Life Magazine, Women’s Day Decorator Special Issue, Design NJ Magazine, NJ Savvy Living, At Home, NJ Home and Style Magazine, and the Parker Publication magazine and newspapers.  

• Karla’s work has also been featured in many home and design articles like for The Star Ledger, The Bergen Record, and the Morristown Daily Record.  In addition, Karla has projects featured in two hard cover books: Remodeled Kitchens and Baths, Dramatic Makeovers (Shiffer Publications, Ltd) and Urban Style (Publications International, Ltd).
